1st Ever Blog Post..

So, here I am, inspired by watching Julia and Julia, I've decided to enter the realm of internet blogging, so here goes..
I'll start by introducing myself. I'm Nikki, a 25 yr old female civil servant living in one of the more average of UK towns - Doncaster, with my lovely (and very understanding) boyfriend & pussy cat.
I have an almost unhealthy obsession with food - I love to eat it, make it, buy it, talk about it, look at it, smell it and read about it. I think about where my next meal is coming from almost straight after I've just eaten my last and I make no apology of this.
However, I am not a professional foodie (although I would LOVE the chance to be!), but I know what I like, and I'm pretty sure I've got a half decent pallet with which to discriminate what is actually GOOD, and what is not so great.
An outcome of this is the overwhelming desire to try out as many delicious looking menus in the various places we visit, and hence the purpose of this blog.
I intend to blog & review every single place I decide to eat at where my hard earned cash has exchanged hands. Many of these will inevitably be places which I have researched extensively knowing we were planning a visit to the area, whilst others may be the result of a happy accident! As well as this, I shall also post about some of my homemade edible adventures (expect many a'cake, cupcake, cookie, brownie and a variety of other baked noms!).
I hope you all enjoy, and I shall be back tomorrow with my first wee review of a lovely little place in Leeds.
